Bio
Gehana is a multi-disciplinary circus artist, performer, and educator. Her training involves noodling around on the floor, getting herself unstuck from ever-more creative knots and poses on aerial hoop, her primary discipline, and dabbling in various other aerial apparatuses including trapeze, pole, aerial silks, and aerial hammock.
Her circus education began at a local Ottawa pole studio and continued across various studios, workshops, intensives, and private lessons. She completed her first instructor certification for aerial hoop from the Canadian Pole Fitness Association in 2019. Following this, she was hired as an instructor at 3Sixty Dance and Fitness in 2019 where she continues to teach and train. She has a drive for continued learning and has taken further certifications with Spin City and Alixa Flexibility and attended various aerial intensives. Her teaching style emphasizes strong technique and safety while also encouraging fun and exploration.

She brings the theme of exploration to her own creative projects where she aims to create and tell stories through visually compelling movement sequences and entrancing, emotionally-driven narratives. She has presented her work in numerous shows, cabarets, performer showcases, and competitions both virtually and in person.
Her current work includes developing new workshops for exploring movement and sequence building in aerial hoop, choreographing artistic aerial hoop routines, and helping folks feel like kids on a jungle gym again in aerial classes at 3Sixty Dance and Fitness.
When not traveling, Gehana is based in the intermittently frozen land of Ottawa, Canada with her husband and two fluffy little cats, named Clare and Ivy, who keep stepping on the keyboard.
